Yes, it is an awesome sight isn't it. For those of you who have never experienced it - it probably is a strange sight. I am looking at it now too.
I guess I have the advantage of age here. I have seen TOTAL lunar eclipse several times in my lifetime. More amazing is the total solar eclipse -especially when it is in the middle of the day. You will be in bright sunlight then - at the total eclipse - it gets so dark you have to light a candle or turn on a torch to see. Really weird. All the birds go berserk.
Yeah - go out and enjoy it now!!!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Unfortunately, the moon is NOT yet up in our part of the world. By the time the moon rises here, the eclipse would already be over. Anyways, it is really nice to share your experience, through your post on Y! Answers.

I just found out about it about 15 minutes or so ago and went looking for it and missed as far as in my yard but they did show some pictures on the local news.
