Assisted suicide is always an assassination of some sort even if voluntary.

No body did it better than Doctor Death. It would have no effect on the process or the people surrounding the person dying it would only effect the legality.

I euthanised a pet years ago and struggled over it for years. Later I had a pet, poisened by WalMart dog biscuits (I didn't know), slowly get sicker and then die a horrible death. I was so sorry to lose both my pets but the last one helped me come to terms with the first one. I think I did the right thing when I put him out of his misery and let him die peacefully and stopped his pain. Now that I'm older, I don't want to lie in a bed, starving and unable to drink, drugged for days until I finally die. I would rather be able to choose to die with dignity when the time is right. I also think I should have the ability to choose for myself and that others who want you to die that long, slow death should make their own choice, not mine.

It would, but the people who fight it don't see it that way. There's no doubt safeguards should be in place, but I watched my mom die horrifically of ovarian cancer and I know what I would want in that situation for myself.

yes it would, patients at the end of their life should be aloowed that dignity at the end of thier life. it should not be acrime. ive seen people waste away to cancer and other diseases and despite the difference in diseases they all had one thing in common, they wanted the fight to be over.

Yes it would.
But religious people stand in the way.
They would much rather see a person die horribly.
religion..pain..horror
they all go together.
