OMG she is not your DOG, she's not supposed to be OBEYING you! Doesn't matter what culture you are in, she's a human being. Don't expect her to OBEY you!

I'm not Hindu, nor do I know anyone Hindu. However, I think it is obvious that if your wife is crying when you are trying to tell her something, it means that you are NOT respecting her. If you were truly respecting her, she would be feeling good and happy towards you when you try to tell her something. It does not matter what culture you are, no human is happy being controlled. As long as you are expecting her to "obey" you, you will never have a happy marriage.

I'm sorry, I don't know very much about Hindu culture and what the marriage roles are like. In my culture, the idea of a woman having to obey her husband is not only out dated, but even considered morally wrong. Perhaps ask some people in your community for advice.

It's very hard from someone outside the Hindu culture to answer this. My beliefs are that women are equal to men and don't have to "obey" although both partners should respect each other. She probably feels trapped and down-trodden. I'm not sure what you can do to change this, obviously she doesn't believe she should obey you.

in what manner are you speaking of when you say" you behave well and calm with her"? if your talking intimately and shes not doing what you want , she probably hates the thought of" it" with you ever think of that ...oh and your culture really stinks the way you all treat women its just cruel maybe you should go to your leaders and see if they can make some changes as far as women are concerned, hahaha like you hindu men would really care what womens concerns are , im sorry , im not a prejudice person of ppl , just the waysome of the ppl act, there are stupid ppl in every culture, including mine.

She doesnt obey you?
You behave very well to her is that before or after you make her cry?
Time to catch up to the century we're in and realise marriage is a partnership not an ownership no matter your religion or culture. No man owns any woman.

hit her !
(hey, it's a joke)
Let alone the hindu culture and just speak with her. Living as a couple means love and mutual respect. if she loves you, she'll respect you ans if you love her, you'll respect her

you should speak to her father.as a hindu wife, her father is still the most important man in her life and you are second.you should talk to him about the lack of respect and he will speak to her, before she puts shame on her families name.
maybe she is still young and feels overwhelmed with married life but by disrespecting you she is also disrespecting both of your families.
your children also need to see their mother giving you respect or it will teach them disrespect to you as well.
speak to her father and your mosque leader, maybe they can give you advice.

I am very thankful that I don't have to have anyone tell me what to do. You don't command respect, you earn it. Do you even care that she is not happy with you? I'm so glad to be livin' in the USA. . . .
