The most idealistic: Kucinich. He actually THINKS he makes sense.

The most realistic: Romney. His policies and programs have already functioned in the real world.

I think Obama is idealistic, and I like that, and hope it's tempered with realism (but not crushed) in his political career. I think Romney and Fred Thompson represent the more realistic side.

So far, I haven't seen a candidate that truly engages me (I'm a conservative Democrat).

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the most idealistic. Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee are the most realisitic.

I think it depends on where you sit politically. I think Ron Paul is extremely idealistic with some of his policies. I think Fred Thompson (if he decides to run) is realistic.

I think Edwards is both, but he isn't going to win!

Thompson is realistic? He's the same guy that was on the Commission looking into Watergate, running over to the White House to tell Nixon the Special Prosecutor had the tapes. He was also prepped by Nixon's lawyer on what questions to ask!

I think he's a criminal!
