Everybody complains that 99% of the internet is PORN. Why isn't there a law to delete all porn pages - thus hopefully reduce porn-aholics and porn industry - thus make pop-ups, viruses, spyware, adware reduce (since most of them come from pornsites) and hopefully give a reason to anybody that the Internet is the future and it is usefully and not some cheap useless porn-related catalogue...!
I believe that every host should ban their porn hosted websites and the goverments should set a law to protect us...

since you mentioned...i'm not an old guy, i am 23 and I like porn too....but having fake porn sites who only try to steal your credit card info, or have dialers, or have spyware/adware/viruses/pop ups with other spyware etc, is what has caused to have everyone buy norton's/mc caffee tools for just keeping your computer working.
I mean, why should we care about porn industry's profits and "rights" and not "sue them" in a way of denial of service for keeping our computers infected and making them useless.
And to not focus only on porn, shouldn't there be an obligation of controling the content of the hosted sites from the hosting company? The internet is free and I support it 100% but we should try to improve it too and not take the bs from any industry!...

that's a good question. you can't track who runs malicious and scam websites that's why you can't take them down. it's called privacy thing. can you believe it? they steal information and infect computers and they have the right to be anonymous. that is the big problem about whole internet.

I think this is also a very good idea, but only an idea, I don't think all porn could ever be deleted from the internet. if porn is 99% of the internet, then where would all of the internet sites go, there would then be no use for advertising or pop ups but then it wouldn't be the internet would it. I see your point, but the sick people that watch this are the ones in the wrong, and the government don't control the internet, I dont really know who do, I don't think anyone does, but to delete all porn websites would be a huge task and then there would be the odd few that need there porn and revolt, possibly sending the whole internet down with a pop up. Plus is you did do this to the internet, people would produce more porn magazines for the people who like porn. It is a good belief, but could never be done on such a daunting task. Good luck in trying to ban porn. Have a nice day!

Who are you, who am I, and who is anyone to say that a grown man or woman should not be allowed to access any material (including pornography) via the Internet?
If someone were to view Internet-based pornography and that person's computer were to become infected by malicious software, that would be one of the consequences of viewing the pornography from a Web site that served up porn and malicious software.
Haven't we here in the United States seen how ineffectual censorship of anything is (no matter what medium might be used to broadcast whatever it is that we want censored)?
It would be nice if everyone lived a morally upright life, but that isn't a reasonable expectation.
If anyone doesn't like pornography, then that person is free not to view it. Neither you nor I nor anyone has the right to declare an open communication medium (such as the Internet) a police state.
What you want is no different than what the Jihadist terrorists want: control over other humans.
Utopian (translated: Totalitarian enslavement) ideals aside, it's silly to try to force one's morality on others. To do so merely outrageous those upon whom one forces one's morality and entices them to rebel (and generally that rebellion is violent).

A lot of people like porn. It's a billion dollar industry on the internet. If you don't like porn, don't go to porn sites.
Why should they be refused a service that they want just because you don't want it?
I don't have a satellite dish, but I don't think they should be outlawed, they're just not for me.
I don't get porn pop-ups, in fact I don't get pop-ups at all.
Stay away from "software sharing" networks like Morpheus & Limewire (just to name a couple) those files are swarming with adware and browser hijacks.
Pay for your music and software and you will avoid the problems associated with "black market contact."

For a number of reasons:
1) It would be against peoples' freedoms to choose.
2) It would just push porn back underground where it can't be regulated to any extent.
3) It would take away the ability for law enforcement officers to track, and monitor the habits of, those who are involved in the distributing of illegal porn.
4) It would be a logistical and administrative nightmare to try and set a worldwide law banning porn sites on the internet. It would be impossible to enforce, as evidenced by the number of illegal pornsites in existence.
It's a nice theory but it won't work.

Porn is a huge industry. It would be a hard task trying to get the goverment to pass a law to stop it. And really, you can avoid porn on the internet. It's not so prolific. People may complain about it, but it doesn't mean they don't find it amusing or watch it. Honestly, if they tried to ban porn, they'd have an uprising on their hands, a whole debate on freedom to express themselves how they wish.. etc.

First Amendment freedoms are most in danger when the government seeks to control thought or to justify its laws for that impermissible end. The right to think is the beginning of freedom, and speech must be protected from the government because speech is the beginning of thought
