Erinaceous or "Erinaceus "(in Latin) is a collective name
for animals belonging to this group,like:hedgehogs(urchins)
-these are the "Erinaceus europaeus" and also the sea urchins,
or sand dollars(Echinoidea).

It means we have 4.5 million words, each one with several definitions and we haven't even got to phrases, slang or who know what else. Erin means Irish so I guess we have to guess. lol Fortunately we learn most words from context or we could hardly look them all up. I try to forget them and leave them for nightmares. BTW hedgehogs are among my favorite insects.
