I searched around and found a really good company for a saloon style costume for ladies.

Laughing Moon Mercantile has a few patterns to choose from depending on what you want your Saloon Girl to look like:

#105 Saloon Girl at http://www.lafnmoon.com/saloon_girl.htm

Samples from same pattern: http://www.farthingales.on.ca/saloon.php

Other patterns that are from the same era could be used if the Saloon Girl one wasn't quite right. You can go through them and see if any of them appeal to you:
Cowgirl

Skirt:
http://www.lafnmoon.com/gore.htm
Blouse:
http://www.lafnmoon.com/bodice.htm

Another type of dress: http://www.westernersoutfitter.com/Buckaroo%20Bobbins/Buckaroo%20Bobbins%20Page%201.htm

These patterns look like a lot of fun... I hope they tickle your fancy like they did mine.

Try looking at square dance dress patterns. Then embellish the basic pattern to your hearts content. Just a thought.
