Seriously, he tosses that thing in the air and it easily lands in receiver's hands. He's freaking amazing! Too bad Eli doesn't seem to have the gift, but he's a punk anyway.

Football needs guys like Peyton in these dark days.

There's no secret to his success. He works very hard at improving his game.

First off he doesn't make it look easy against the Pats or Pittsburgh! He plays mostly week defenses so when it comes to a solid D he chokes. If it wasn't for Reche Caldwell dropping a pass the Pats would have won again.

The real reason he is as good as he is is simple. Marvin Harrison! That man can catch anything. Give Manning the receivers Brady has had and I think Manning would be crying a lot more.

He's got skills, great WR's and a good O-line, but It comes down to the system, kind of like WAC football...lots of passes in a great scheme leads to yards and TD's.

First of all, they play a lot of shotgun with 3 WR and a TE, forces the DEF into a thin protection, opening up running lanes for Addai, also Peyton has the option to change the play at the line after initially reading the DEF coverage allowing him to change up from a run to a pass, go under center or drop to shotgun, etc.

Takes a lot of game film, and years of looking at DEF schemes to be able to do what Peyton does, a lot of practice helps to as I've heard that he puts in a bunch of time into mechanics and timing, but really it comes down to the system. Just my opinion...

Remember that it took Peyton two years to adjust to the speed of the pro game because the window of opportunity closes so quickly. He threw a ton of interceptions his first two years and then developed along with his offensive coordinator an offensive scheme to handle the defenses. He did it through hard work and passing drills with his receivers. They say no one spends more time in the film room than Peyton and yes, he is a class act..
With Eli, he just doesn't have the work ethic of his brother or the ability to pick up defenses as well.

Besides lots of practice with his receivers and offensive line, I've heard he's one of the most dilligent film studiers in the NFL, just constantly watching other defenses and all their tendencies (which explains why he changes all his plays at the line, he looks at the defense, makes the best choice on his studies and goes with it). He's even studying the defenses in-game, the networks love to show the quarterbacks pouring over those black and white pictures they get on the sidelines between offensive series.
I don't care for the Colts but I do admire 100% Peyton's work ethic, time and passion he puts into his sport

Sidenote to your sidenote: Eli is the opposite of his brother in the class category for sure. The only image of Eli that is retained in my mind is the picture of him on draft day and his dopey woe-is-me look on his face with the Chargers uniform. Peyton was drafted to a pitifully awful team and look where he is now, WITHOUT the complaining and bickering

Peyton Manning is a great Quarterback. He has tremendous talent, and the receiving crew to make it look easy. He will go on to break many, if not all the NFL records. We can all look to see another great season with him again.

Manning makes it look so easy because he's so damn good. That's the whole reason right there.

He has the gift. Yeah some of it is the practice. Some though is a special gift, that only so many get, where it is just born in talent.
