I'm in college and I used to have him as a teacher in high school. I'm 20 (he's 28) so this isn't illegal or anything but it's kind of weird...what should I do!

That's pretty creepy. It means he probably thought you were a possibility in high school. I'd tell him to go look somewhere else.

Yeah that is kinda weird eh. Well, if he isn't a teaching you... If you have some feelings for him and you like him as a person, then you should give it a go, maybe just go see a movie or something. The age shouldn't worry you, my parents are 12 years apart in age and this is perfectly normal.

I was saying before if he isnt teaching now at your college.. Though you are now in college and not in senior high like we hear about 14 year old with 30 year olds... In my opinion I wouldn't if was teaching at the same college, it would feel very weird. People will think wrong of you in some ways and will feel funny being in his company this way. If this is the case, maybe friends?

But, if you like him and you think something might work out of it, maybe you do need to give it a try... Just take it slowly, see what he is like and make your judgement from there..

Hope i helped, good luck :)
Oh and dont feel pressured to make decisions straight away, think about it. Make sure you know what you are doing. Dont let any of us affect your decision..

You're both legally adults so there is no point in comparing the situation to say...a 21 year old and a 13 year old.

I do agree, it is "weird" in the sense that he is your academic instructor and society sees that as unconventional/morally wrong, but that usually only applies to teachers with minors.

I think it's OK to "hang out" in a platonic manner, but anything that is more romantic, I would advise against. Just my opinion...

What`s "weird" about it ? Teachers are human, and enjoy the same emotions as everyone else. We are not a race apart. If you like him, and he clearly likes you, where is the problem ? Treat him in the same way as you would treat any other man who asks you out.

If you feel it's weird, you might tell him. I'm not sure why you feel this way, but I think he'd like to know.

So why does it feel that way? Maybe you have a legitimate concern and you should stay away. Or maybe it was just unexpected?

If you had to ask, it seems the answer should probably be no. You probably don't have enough interest to go. So maybe thank him for his offer (if you want) but say it feels weird so you don't think that you should go.

If you feel uncomfortable about the idea of having a teacher for a date then don't go through with it. You might not enjoy the date because of that creeping thought at the back of your head. And he may see through you and in return won't enjoy the date either

Well, if you're feeling weird about this, then you shouldn't go out with him. It's as simple as that. You shouldn't worry.
If you like him more than a friend/teacher, then you should go ahead.

It's weird, because their relationship was established on an unlevel playing field.
It would creep me out, too. I would say no.
