Well, if you want a big bang, by all means shake the bottle first. Trouble then is the fizz goes all over the place and you have less to put into your glass. Expensive way to go and maybe some spumante would be cheaper for you in the long run, rather than champagne?

well i like to store my alcohol a maximum of one day. because no matter how much i buy that is the longest it ever lasts. and on the serious side. alcohol never ages once it is bottled. aging comes from the taste it acquires while in the barrel. usually an oak barrel. once it is bottled the taste will never change. but if it is a valuable when it is bottled it should increase in price. i dont know much about wine or champagne. but i do know that it is supposed to be stored around 60 degrees farenheit.

I never shake it first but always aim the cork at something/someone!

You don't shake the bottle if it is decent. But that sound is one of my favourites "POP". If you are ever in Londons West End try Kettners. Treat yourself.

its fun! so long as i dont have to clean up the mess afterwards haha!
im not overly fond of champagne itself though so dont get it very often, it really is a special occasion drink for me

Champagne is an over-rated wine & no true connoisseur would shake the bottle in order to waste some the wine in silly froth.

lol sometimes im always scared its guna burst but i try aim n hit somewhere, i dont shake it cos its wastes it!
