I really don't care if people sell designer knockoffs, unless they are saying they're real when it's not. Of course I know it is illegal, but I don't think it being illegal is completely right. I mean if I was a designer and someone took my design of course that is wrong, and even though Chanel and other high fashion designers lose some money to people buying replicas, they still make tons of money.

Also, if it is illegal how come people sell knockoffs in public places, and also how come they feature them in magazines in the advertisement sections for knockoffs? Or is it only illegal if the person says it is authentic when it's not...?

I think selling knock offs is wrong only if they are trying to be passed off as the REAL thing. Designer prices are sooo high that only the really rich can afford them. If someone wants to copy the real thing I think there should be an obvious give away so that the designer isn't cheated and the person without all the bucks can still get something that looks nice.
Fair is fair.

TJ Maxx does not sell knockoffs. The Dooneys they get are genuine, yet they may well be a pair of seasons old, that's why they are at TJ Maxx. i offered a Dooney there decrease back interior the summertime, and it became into on clearance by way of fact it had a stain on it. So i offered it, have been given the canvas cleanser, and the stain is long gone. It additionally got here with the registration card, so I did sign in it.

what i think is that most of us are out here trying to make a living. or trying to make a buck. Some sell houses, some sell cars, some sell knockoffs, so i really cant blame em, just trying to make some money. It sucks for us if we get ripped off, but then its good for them, if i was in there shoes id wanna sell my knockoffs as well, i just try to watch out for knockoff cuz theres a lot, but some people really dont care if they can get them cheaper.

idk i am on both sides of the matter on this 1.ii think its wrong 2 sell knock-offs because 1.some people actually DONT know they ARENT buying the real thing ,2.when selling knock-off's ur ripping off the designer.

BUT

i do consider it karma (towards designers direction)in a way.i mean some designers really get greedy on consumers and the price tags are RIDICULOUS.so they rip us off,n some1 (knock-off seller's) rip THEM off.

sooo i wouldnt reallly know on what side 2 stand :/

I can't say it's wrong, but it may be unethical. Knock-offs discount the real product; but at the same time, if you're not a millionaire, you can still look like one. It all comes down to whether or not you can sleep at night.

one word, yes. the designers work hard to create their designs for consumers.
i don't think it's right for some people to sell stuff that isn't even real and especially to those who don't know it's not real.

I think it's more wrong to buy them when you know it's a knockoff and actually wear it.
