I have basic sewing experience and a machine. The shirt is a stretch knit, with a faux-wrap design on top only. I am large-chested and I love the shirt but I can't wear it in public, let alone to work.

I am looking for ways to alter the shirt itself, so I don't have to wear a cami under it. I don't like layering.

Hi! I get what you mean. You have a couple of choices, so you can pick which one would suit you and look better on you.
You can sew the one side of the v (assuming it's a v-neck or another low-cut, hope you know what I mean) to the other, but neatly from the inside of the top. This will give it a nice touch, a more original style I'd say, but you do see this style tops in shops - so don't worry =]

Or you can get a nice brooch to hold the two sides together, but in my opinion, this is kind of old-fashioned, but whatever suits you! You can get a nice, simple one though, which could work well, depending on your choice.

You can always just get a tiny stud earring and pin the two ends together, which I think is great, since it won't show much, but just enough to get the effect you're looking for. Just a small plain one, should to the trick.

If all fails, I suppose all you can do is go with the cami underneath. It looks good so don't fret, but I understand that you wouldn't want to coz I get sick of it too :)
Really hope I helped, good luck xx
