I have a Dell Inspiron 600m. Recently, when I turn on my laptop, my screen goes black, and I can barely see a thing (really really really dim). This only happens when my adapter is plugged in. I can view the screen normally on battery power, however I hear this buzzing sound, which I assume is coming from the LCD display. Is my LCD busted, and I can fix it easily? Thanks!

I would check your power management settings to see if it is set to turn the screen brightness down while on AC.

Try pressing whatever key is used to increase the screen brightness.

Otherwise it'll be expensive to fix (I assume it's out of warranty).

Problem is the backlight supply.
No you can't easily fix it, you need to return it to Dell.
I sense a big bill coming if you're out of the warranty period.
