Pop into an optician - any one you can get to. Tell them what has happened and they will look into your eye for you. If you can get to a branch of Boots the pharmacist can have a look for you or, do you have a NHS drop in center near you? If you are really worried then A&E!

i hope you removed the contact lens.

apply ice to the affected area (avoid direct contact with the skin-place in baggie first). leave on for 10-15 mins to help reduce bruising and swelling.

you can take ibuprofen for pain and swelling. take 200-400mg every 6 hours as needed but no more than 1200mg in 24 hours.

the watering could be a result of the contact scratching the surface of your eye when you hit the pole (might be a slight scratch) and it is now watering to try to heal the area or remove what it thinks is a foreign body in your eye (the contact lens could have gotten dust underneath it from the pole and now it's irritating your eye).

wash the eye area well with soap and water. then once you remove your contact lens, rinse your eye out well with warm water or eye washing solution if you have it. make sure to clean the contact well before putting it back in your eye. if you can go w/out the contact tonite-that would be best.

make an appt to see your dr to have the eye checked to rule out any serious injury.

as for the headache-this is common after head trauma.

things to watch closely for that would require an immediate trip to the emergency room are

-nausea/vomiting
-trouble with vision in that eye (blurriness, spots, etc)
-feeling overly sleepy
-feeling of faintness or dizziness
-becoming confused
-severe headache that won't go away

these are signs of concussion and can sometimes take hours to days to show themselves. make sure there is someone around to watch you for a little while

hope you feel better soon

Do you have a hospital nearby, if so go there, A&E will look you over. You could also try an opticians, i have done this before and they can see if you have damaged your eye in someway. Most eye products won't do you a lot of good for this, i have had numerous accidents and know that the only effective treatment was at my local eye hospital.

go to the a&e section of your local eye hospital they should be able to help you, dont know where you live but in brighton we have a separate eye hospital and they are very good with emergencies like this even at night.my son's been treated there twice for eye injuries. if you dont have this facility then the a&e of your local hospital is your best bet.eyes are precious you need to get it checked asap.

You need to see someone about this pretty smartish, its likely that the eye running is nothing to worry about but its better for you to have this diagnosed properly than worry. It also sounds as though you have a bit of a concussion so dont drive your self if you can avoid it.
