I got a new regal angelfish and I can't get it to eat anything. It is living in a 70 gallon tank by itself. What should I try to feed it?

most angels are omnivores so they also will eat greens in the tank. Try adding some macroalgaes for it to munch on. You can also give it brine shrimp cyclops, and mysis shrimp. Frozen or live. If it is a new addition to the tank the fish may need time to adjust so that may be the reason it isnt eating. Did you take the time to drip acclimate it to the tank? If not the fish may in shock. Even if you did take the proper measures to acclimatre the fish to the tank the fish still feels scared in a new habitat and could take some time to warm up to the tank even 3 weeks in some cases. So dont over feed in hopes that it will eat. This will just cause poor water quality and aid to him not eating. So just keeping giving a variety of different foods 2 times a day and when the fish is feeling more comfortable it will begin to eat. So please dont go dumping food in front of it 9 million times a day cause it will only make the problem worse.

It takes a fish up to 10 days to get used to his new environment, give it time

Try feed it with dried shrimp, they love that stuff

Hope that helps
Good luck
