you multiply the bases and add the exponents

-3p * -p = 3p

-2 + 3 = 1

therefore your answer is 3p^1 or just 3p

so u know that (-3)(-1) = 3

then p^-2 goes in the denominator because the power is a negative so to change it to a positive power, you switch it to the bottom

so now you have 3p^3 on the top and p^2 on the bottom

to simplify, since you are dividing, you subtract the powers: p^3-p^2 = p

so, = 3p

(-3p-² )(-p³)

(-3)(p-² )(-1)(p³)

(-3) (-1)( p-² )( p³)

3( p-² )( p³)

3(p-²+³)

3(p³-²)

3p

you write it as (-3)*p^(-2)*(-1)*p^3
(-3)*(-1)=3
p^a*p^b=p^(a+b) so
p^(-2)*p^3=p^(-2+3)=p^1=p
The result is thus 3p
