Hi Not only would i want to check the quality of workmanship on the actual steering mechanism but also the brake ,clutch and accelerator hardware. The Routing and condition of the brake pipes as well should be well checked. All of these items will have been swapped over to the other side of the vehicle. It would be wise to have a professional check it all. Good luck. Np

it depends on the workmanship of the mechanic/s who have done the conversion, Did they use the right conversion kit/original or after market? or did they fabricate it themselves, if they did , check the welded parts, the holes that they drilled,.. its quite risky to take chances in purchasing a sports car with an altered steering system, but if youre a mechanically inclined person who loves fidgetting or tuning your car, then you could know the performance changes and make adjustments,,,,

check the mounting points of the steering components for correct method of mounting (compare to the other side where they originally came from). Some eurpoean cars have dual mounting points for both lh and rh drive. before purchasing I would inspect it closely and have it put on a wheel alignment machine to check it out as the geomotry is different for lh & rh drive

It would depend on whether the conversion was done competently.

If it were converted well I wouldn't worry about it but if it was done in an incompetent manner then you should move along.

It depends on how it was done. You better crawl under it. There are some very low-class ways of making the conversion.
