I have been friends for 6 or 7 months to a woman that moved into our neighborhood recently. Both of us work from home, so we tend to visit throughout the day. A few days ago, we were sitting at my kitchen table, and we were talking about the new shade of lipstick I was applying when she said softly, "let's see how it looks on me". I held it out to her and instead of taking it, she leaned over to me and kissed me full on the mouth. I was in complete shock, although I did kiss her back. She drew back and then started laughing, saying "you should see the look on your face"! I started laughing too and I realized that she was just joking around, trying to get a reaction, but now I can't get that kiss out of my mind. I've thought about telling my husband about it, but can't bring myself to. I know that he's always fantasized about two women together. I've also thought about kissing her again. I don't think I would ever take it further than that though. Is that cheating?

Okay... if I TELL him, is it cheating?

She is single and straight, as far as I know. She recently broke up with a boyfriend.

To Jadey's questions

It felt amazing and soft.

I had thought about it before, but didn't think I would ever act on it.

Neither one of us are the jealous type. I flirt with his friends and he thinks it's amusing. He knows that he's my only love and I'm equally secure with him. I'm not talking about inviting her into our bed. I'm just thinking that I would love to kiss her again. I know he would be cool about me telling him. I'm just embarrassed to do so.

Aww sweety I had a chuckle in reading this.. bah I am sorry, but it's a cute story. Technically any emotional attatchment or physical contact with anything or anyone other than your spouse is cheating hun. Regardless of gender. However this is a situation that seemed to have caught you off guard. Your husband is in fact your husband for a reason. You love him and trust him and are currently sharing your life with him. Open communication about everything is essential. Talk to him. Tell him what happened.. tell him your concerns and what you think about. The majority of men wouldn't be mad about this.. most would get that dreamy look on their face and ask you to invite her over for a drink on friday night..lol. Just talk to your husband.. he is your best friend. However your friend should of had more respect for you.. then to spring that on you like that. Good luck, Reese

though i think this q is b/s, i will still answer it. YES. being intimate with any other person besides the person you vowed to be exclusive with for the rest of your life is cheating. you should forget about the whole situation and tell the woman that you love your husband and do not wish to hurt him, because it WILL hurt him.

That is, of course, unless you want to leave your husband for this woman. Then thats a different story altogether. Then you have a whole lot more problems then just this ocassion. But if you love your husband, put this whole thing behind you and consider it as a joke on her part.

You really should tell your husband. I'll bet anything he would be totally turned on by it and not consider it cheating. Most husbands think it would be hot if their wife kissed another girl. Don't keep it a secret from him. Besides, you didn't initiate the kiss anyway so it's no big deal.

hmm... if you are married and you kiss someone (no matter what their gender) and you are not married to them, yes it is cheating and it sounds like you are playing with fire. It might have been exciting and all, because you didn't see it comming or haven't been with another woman, but start thinking with your brain. You knew the answer before you asked b-buz it is what it is as plain as the nose on your face...

Many would say yes it is cheating and then you'd also get the one's who whinge it's a homosexual thing (we're not in the 40's people and god really doesnt care as much as you believe he does), in my eyes no it was a kiss wether it meant anything to her or you being beside the point.

How did it make you feel?.

Did you consider anything like this before this happened?.

The fact you've thought about it further is not a crime , this may be a new direction for your life , but please before bringing it into your sexual relationship with your husband ask yourself , how is your jealousy tolerance with your man where other women are concerned ? , how's his jealousy tolerance of you and other men / women? , and how strong is your love to know if you did bring it into your marriage sexually that you would survive without losing him to her or you to her.

A lot of thinking time not just action.

I swear your husband would laugh and secretly be turned on. No, its not cheating. At least you werent the one to initiate the kiss. So whats up with this neighbor, is she a lez? Have you guys talked since then? WOW, why cant I be so lucky!? Well, good luck and have fun, but If that happened to me, I would be exited to tell my husban. Just be honest with him because yu wont be able to get if off your mind until you let him know. Then it will be a big relief!

That one kiss isn't cheating because you weren't expecting it. However if you kiss her with the intent of kissing her which may lead to something else, than that's cheating.

Depends on the views of you
and your husband.

Some men might regard it as a form of cheating.
Some men might not regards it as cheating-
as long as another man is not involved.

Most men think the idea of 2 women
being together is hot-
too bad a majority of women don't feel the same about the idea of 2 men being together- LOL!!!

Your damn right it is cheating on him. Think about the shoe being on the other foot. What would you think of him doing it. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.
