...it's more of a horror/comedy, but be forewarned: since it IS a zombie movie, there ARE gruesome and gory moments normally befitting a film of this genre...

...without giving TOO much away, the basic plot goes like this: instigating all-out war against the undead, the world has just conquered a vicious zombie plague (this is shown in a format amusingly reminiscent of those old corny, scratch-up school science films from the '50's); they have also found a way to domesticate, and temper the unsavory appetites of the surviving and captive living dead...via restrictive collars around their necks. This, for some reason, supresses their desire to feed off of human flesh, and makes them ideal for domesticated services...

...a lonely young boy's family finally gets their own zombie servent, and the lad immediately attaches himself to his new undead friend (...named 'Fido'); however, Fido's restrictive collar is accidently and temporarily deactivated, and he, or rather it begins to chomp down on the local populous, spreading the contagion, once again. The boy finds about about this, and desperately does whatever he can to cover up for his new-found playmate, and...well, we'll just leave it at that!!!

...a very riotously funny film, but as I said before, it IS on the gory side, albeit an 'R' rated gore level, vice the usual unrated zombie entries...

...I'd say that it's definitely worth a look!!!
