Me, When I was about 8, I saw this meteor.
From my distance it looked about house size,
Made a thunderous sound, Lit up the night sky with fire,
and passed directly overhead.
I will never forget that experience. It was awsome but scary at the same time.

Seeing my baby sister after her birth. She was the most beautiful thing i had ever seen. I was only seven. But i guess that's why i love her so much now. She is one of my best friends. I'm so thankful for her.

A couple of years ago, watching the Supernova erupt in the galaxy M51 in the constallation Ursus Major ( the big Bear )
During the height of the eruption, that one star radiated more energy than all the stars in the galaxy combined.
Despite the tranquility of heaven often portrayed in literature and philosophy, our night sky is a very violent place once you take a close look at it.

the morning we saw Comet Kahoutec.... it was very low on the horizon in the east, close to the sun... we were on a barrier island, at the beach, surrounded by water.... (group of astronomy students from UNCW)... just before dawn we got our best look at it.... and then, just for a few short minutes, we had the rising sun, the tail of Kahoutec and a full moon in the sky at the same time.... the moon was behind us, the sun in front of us and both were kinda red from the atmosphere.... the world turned a strange shade of pink and the water even looked like there was pink in it.... it was amazing!!!....
