Can I produce my Pan Card for Address Proof to appy passport for my Spouse?

Will they accept pan card for Address Proof? Also my pan card to my spouse? Or Can I Produce my Income Tax Acknowledgement?

Income Tax PAN Card no where mentions the address of the person it only provides the name of the applicant, father’s or husband's name & date of birth no where the address is mentioned. For address proof you can use Ration card, Voters ID card, Driving license, electricity bill, landline telephone bill. IT pan card can be used only for ID or date of birth proof. Your pan card is meant for you only. The Ration Card of the present address and Your Marriage certificate is more than sufficient. Just read the documents required column carefully. Or else go straight to commissioner of police office near by your location and ask the intelligence section of Passport Control . They are the ones authorized for verification of your whereabouts. If everything is under proper transfer. Nothing to worry you will get the passport within 90 days after you submit your application. If you want to get fast pay more as per the guidelines. But be honest don't try to bribe anyone.

You cannot produce your Pan Card for Address Proof to apply for the passport of your passport. Even it cannot be used for applying for your passport since it does not contain your residential address without producing one address proof such as 'community certificate. If you have got old PAN card, it contains address and is accepted as address proof. Income Tax Acknowledgement is also not accepted as address proof for passport.

you can not use the same to your spouse,because it does not have your spouse name on that.

The better way is to produce your marriage certificate which will have your address.

Other wise you can get a Residence proof certificate from MRO office within 3 working days. (try it)

no for passport application you cannot produce you pan card copy or your it acknowledgement.

for your spouse you'll require her birth certificate or school leaving certification in which her date of birth is mentioned. your marridge certificate or marridge affidavit, you can also produce her bank pass book.
