Since I have picked a 'Best Answer' the link in the question is no longer valid. If you click on it you may not see the plant and it could be another picture to go with another question.

It looks like you have a problem with the roots. Usually when lower leaves are deteriorating or falling off that means roots. It could be due to winter weather. The plant will use less water when it is cold. You could be overwatering because of this. Dig into the soil and find out how wet it is. If it is staying wet over time you could pull off the mulch to let more air get to the soil.

I have had a plant like that before. I got a starter from my sister-in-law. Hers grew all along the top of her living room... Really cool if you can get it to grow. Anyways, I found that you don't give it a lot of sun & water when dirt feels dry, it will grow. To help your plant out. I would take it out of sun light & give it a little banana peel around the base of the plant. "Make sure you put the peel under the dirt... It does not do any good on the top of the dirt" pick off the dry leaves... & just let it go for a week or two... it should come back to life... That is a really fussy plant... At least I think so... Hope it works for you... good luck :")
P.S. Try not to transplant it allot they hate that!

This actually looks more like a Dipladenia plant and it looks like a water issue . Check the soil with your finger to see what's going on .It looks like too much water because the tops aren't wilted .I live in southern California and have several on a pool deck where they are in the shade but get lots of light . You may want to give it a little fertilizer . I use a high nitrogen fertilizer ,same as I use on my lawn ,but only about 1 table spoon for a 15 gallon plant .

You maay have over-watered it. Do you know what kind of climate the plant grows in in the wild? If it an arid climate it may be getting too much water. Yellow leaves look like it may need some fertilizer. If you are not sure what kind of plant it is, tkae one of the leaves to a good plant nursery and find out what it is. That info may help you find out how to care for it.

It sort of looks like that it isn't getting enough nutrients. You could try a simple soil test, not sure where to get one in Sydney, and something like miracle grow plant food it that turns out to be the problem. Good luck.

That mischievous looking little gnome has been using it as a loo? Sorry, I couldn't resist, but it may be a clue. If I were to oversize the planter like yours and my cat saw that much exposed surface ----. Too many possibilities for my little mind, and I'm sure you have pests I've never heard of. RScott

this plant is a tropical and doesn't do well at temps under 45 degrees F....... it appears to be trying to go dormant.... I see no bloom evidence.... the plant loves bright hot sunlight and sufficient water and food....
