More of its component-states will try to secede from the rest of the country. But they will not succeed.
I think there are moves to make Russia the superpower that it was once. And I believe it's not a farfetched reality. Russia still has the qualities that could make it a superpower again: great land area, abundant natural resources, relatively big population...

Russia will never allie with china.
Even during the cold war, russia kept more troops on the border with china than on the nato border.
Today, russia still keeps more troops on the border with china, than anywhere else.
The chinese have historically wanted what they call the northern resource area, otherwise known as Siberia.
Why would there be a war ?
What would be the purpose of a war ?
The same nuclear missiles that prevented a war, during the cold war, are still in the silos and submarines.

There will be another cold war arms race because of blow back, due to our war campaigns in the Middle East and threat to world peace. Russia will partner with China and become a powerful force. When Russia starts tapping into their oil reserves, there will be nothing stopping them from building more weapons and becoming stronger. China will invest in Russia to gain the oil their need badly as well as technology. In the process, America's military power will deplenish due to over reaching imperialism overseas. The dollars will sink to an all time low. President Hillary Clinton, will reinstate the draft.

Depends on the actions of our President, and the shadow government in Amerika. If they decide they want confronation, there could be another Cold War that would cripple our economy. If they decide they want cooperation then we could gain a valuable ally against terrorism.

Their Vodka sales will fall by 95% and so will the Vodka exports. They will have to start importing Jack Daniels Whiskey and then they'll become a Redneck Nation.
