I remember one being gentler than the other, but forgot which one. And also from your experiences, which form is better to use in a dishwasher?

I don't know about gentler but the powder does a better job on dishes.

Cascade liquid dishwasher is the only one I'll use. Have tried all the others - especially during budget crunch times. But there's somethings you just don't scrimp on & this is one of them, toilet paper is another haha! Seriously it works great & the dishes are always clean. Powdered dishwasher soap clumps & is gross & disgusting to me. Run tang powder thru your machine 1x month to keep it cleaned out & running like new. Remove the cap next to the sink, take off the cover & unscrew the plastic part, cover with a clear glass & run the entire load. This will clear out the build up & gunk & help your machine last years longer. From a former escaped crazy landlady, heehee!

For the most part, the powder is stronger and the liquid is gentler. If the liquid cleans your dishes well enough, go with it. But if not, use the powder.

I like the liquid as some powder ones don't always completely dissolve..its gentler tho..
But I did find powder can clean better.. but I had to use a longer cycle..
Always use the jet dry additive if you want shiny clean glasses tho....

1. Dishwashing Liquid:-
High foaming, neutral pH - safe on hands & skin
**** To be used in sink never in a dish washer, unless you like bubble baths in the kitchen ~;-)

2. Dishwashing powder:-
Best for use in dishwashers - Low foaming, use one that has oxygen bleach (not Chlorine) & Enzymes it'll do the best job!!

I have used the liquid and the powder, and I have to say that the liquid is my favorite. It always gets my dishes sparkly clean with no spots. I always would have these spots left on the clear dishes when I used powder and I just hated it! Hope this helps you out! :)
