I have an important decision to make that will affect a lot of people. I have some money I can use in order to make gather more information before making a decision. My problem is that my gut intuition is telling me one thing, and logic is telling me something different. What should I do to make the best decision?

>>Weigh up the pros & cons of both gut & logic. Write them down if necessary to clarify.
>>Research thoroughly.
>>Can you involve & trust the judgement of some/all of the people this decision is going to affect?
If so, discuss with them & seek their advice/opinions also.

Funny.. gut and logic are usually the same thing. The bigger question is why aren't yours meeting?
I'm going to edit this question.. it just hit me that your question is probably about trying your luck on something. Following a dream probably.
Okay.. the answer here is to make the logic back up the gut. Do an incredible amount of research... more than you've ever done....

Always follow your gut feelings. Your gut is like a lil angel guiding you when you are about to walk off the cliff. If that feeling is strong and its against what you "think" you should do or the logic thing to do, then your feeling might be correct. We will never tell ourselves something that we dont want to do, that would be to easy. Example: If i have a friend that is having a party and something is telling me that I dont need to go but this person is my best friend. Then I need to listen to the feeling bc I want to go but something is trying to warn me.
I hope I didnt confuse anyone. LOL!

Try to write down what you feel about your gut feeling and then write down what you think your logic is. After you have done this compare to see how close they both are and make a educated decision but you and no one else should decide for you.

Friend that's why they have financial advisers AND spiritual advisers. But let me say this, money, unlike a nice fresh Yellow Fin steak will not spoil! Ambivalence is there for a purpose. It is the "universe" telling us we could really screw up here! Work through it. Me? I follow my gut. Right through multiple divorces, bankrupts, and ***-kickings real and metaphorical. With that baggage, I lean towards advising logic.

collect as much info you can to analyze the adverse affect of decision and then you will realize that decision taking has become more difficult and as the time passes and the day approaches you go by the gut.

Are you trying to make this decision totally devoid of conscience? Freud postulated three elements of the human personality:

1.) Id: the basic survival drives
2.) Ego: the intellect
3.) Superego: the conscience

Let your conscience make the final decision for you.

Trust your gut! Don't make a mistake when this is one of the easy ones. You know in your gut what to do. Don't make me say, "I told you so!" cause I hate it when someone says that to me. I just know that gut is stronger than logic. Even 'Spock ' knew that.Jim taught him.

It took me 63 yrs. to finally learn it, ALWAYS GO WITH YOUR GUT FEELING. I'm a very logical person, with this one exception. I don't know how It works, It just does.

I would go with my gut intuition. It invariability proves to be the best choice.
