I'm going to go to Florida in a week and want to know if it's worth the drive from Orlando to Key west? I've never been and I know It's like a 6-8 hour drive there but It looks really pretty and that highway that goes over the ocean looks really cool I'd also plan on doing snorkeling plus parasailing and riding wave runners out there So Is it worth the drive or not? Thanks ♥

I live in Florida.
I would be about a 10 hour drive from Disney.
Done it before and it is a LONG drive on a good day.
Key west is Party Party Party. If you want bars this is the place. if you want a beach and relax - Not the place to go.
If you want a nice beach for wave runners and parasalling 4 wheeling on the beach etc
go to New Symrna beach Just north of Daytona- about 1 hr east from Orlando
Much easier to get to and i recomend it.

If you can, it would be better to fly. Traffic is horrendous, especially on US-1 in the Keys. There's only one way in and one way out so if there's an accident (which is often) the highway can be tied up in traffic for hours.

If you are staying there for more than a week or so, you could drive around and have a good road trip.
