Ferrari still has the chance to clinch the titles. Eventhough it looks as though McLaren are unstoppable, nothing is impossible. Ferrari can still catch up and minimize the difference in points and win more races.
Besides, it's no secret that Alonso and Lewis are not getting along. Ferrari definitely still has the chance to beat them (fair and square)!!!!!

I don't know if Ferrari were ever "gone," except perhaps during Monaco and the North American dates (where the wind tunnel accident cost them their planned aero updates for Montreal and Indy). In the end though, McLaren have been more consistent at having both drivers finish on or near the podium, where so often Ferrari have managed to get only one driver up there.
At present, the top four drivers have each won 3 races! The difference has been the non-winning finishes. However, the recent 1-2 does offer some hope. Not much, but some.
Ferrari has a slight chance, but they will need to consistently put both drivers on the podium and hope for a little bad luck from one or both Mclaren drivers. There are enough points still available for either Kimi or Massa to take a run at the driver's title, and enough for Ferrari to take aim at the Constructor's title. But Mclaren and their drivers have solid leads, and it really is their's to lose.
Though the possibility of FIA penalties could dramatically change the picture next month.

With five GP's left in the season, and the gap between Ferrari and McClaren for the Constructor's title down to just 11 points, it's very possible for Ferrari to eclipse McLaren. The reliability of the Ferraris was questionable for a bit, and so was their consistency of speed, but Ferrari seem to have sorted out these issues, and with the points spread as it is now between the top four drivers, it's anyone's race.
15 points separate Lewis from Felipe, who is now leading Kimi by a mere one point. 10 points separate Fernando from Felipe. This is not a huge margin with five races remaining. And let's not forget that the Fuji track hasn't been contested in F1 since 1977, and thus is a wildcard.
Additional factors to consider are the upcoming trial for McLaren with the Court of Appeals in the spy scandal, and the appeal of McLaren on the loss of Constructor's points in Hungary. If McLaren wins its appeal of the 15 points, then they will be up and farther ahead of Ferrari. BUT, it McLaren loses in their appeal, not only will they have lost those 15 points, but they stand to lose additional points. Then, there's the spy scandal, which could lose McLaren a good fifty Constructor points, if not the entire season, if they are found to have benefited from possession of the Ferrari dossier.
So, I'm holding my breath because I am a stalwart McLaren fan, but I won't respect them if they are proved to have directly benefited from the possession of the Ferrari information.
Again, I say, may the best and most honest team win. Here's to integrity in sport.

Ferrari is somewhat back. They've really struggled at high downforce tracks like Monaco and Hungary and at low downforce tracks like Indy and Canada. It will be interesting to see how they perform at one of the fastest tracks, Monza, next weekend.
They've also been bitten by reliability problems. Massa lost his transmission in qualifying at Australia, Kimi had electrical problems and did not finish in Spain, Kimi had hydraulic failure at the European GP.
But they've also had some uncharacteristic bad team moments that have cost them precious points. Massa runs the red light in the pitlane at Canada and gets DQ'ed. Then they make the fuel error on Massa's car at Hungary in qualifying, forcing him to start P14 and he finishes out of the points.
Really the only reason they are this close in the constructors title is that McLaren lost all their points in Hungary because of that little stunt Alonso pulled.
All this tells me that they have no chance at winning either title. Unless McLaren just totally falls apart in the last 5 races and I don't see that happening.

yeah... I think Ferrari is back and I still think that Massa or Kimi might win a title and if McLaren won't get Hungarian GP points, then Ferrari also might win a championship :)

I wasn't aware Ferrari went anywhere. They just got off to a slower start than McLaren. Anything can happen, but McLaren has the lead. It's up to them to hold on or throw it away.

I think McLaren & Hamilton will win.
Ferrari will wait for a mechanical breakdown or something. But It's always so hard and they won't deserve it in that way.

I'm with Restore...I think McLaren have had the best cars and best performance for most of the season. So...My predictions are these (almost certainly wrong!)
Drivers' Championship - Fernando Alonso
Constructors' Championship - McLaren
Hamilton will have his day, of that there is no doubt. But I think for 2007 Alonso has the knife between his teeth a lot more than Lewis does.
