There are many electric or battery operated ashtrays which will suck in the smoke and filter it for you (try searching the web and pricing them out).

As for something around the house to eliminate the smell or residual odor...trying setting out open cans of coffee! By a container of coffee, pop the lid, remove the seal and set it out. Its not a quick fix but the coffee grinds will obsorb the odor. Also, boxes of Arm & hammer baking soda like you would use in the fridge or freezer to eliminate odors.

But the best quick fix that you can by and keep there at the house...A spray bottle of Febreeze. This stuff is worth its weight in gold...I smoke cigars as well and this stuff does the trick every time! Less than $5 at your local grocery store for the concentrated bottle! Good luck!

There is a small appliance that people use, like an air purifier for smoke. It's small amd portable and sits on the table. Also, use Air Wick plug-ins, more than one. Lavender with chamomile smells masculine. I use it to neutralize the smoke odor from the vent when the downstairs neighbor chain smokes.

You need to clean all the surfaces with cleaning agents, and then don't smoke in their again unless you have something sucking out the smoke. A friend of mine used to have some air filter thing that he ran at all times, and it seemed to help get rid of the smell. Plus he blew the smoke towards it.

mmm, there is nothing to do... unless you have an extractor device that sucks away the smoke as it is generated. I have been smoking for nearly 20 years now and there is only one thing I can tell you. STOP smoking now, you are at pretty good time to quit before it grabs you and eats up your health and your pocket. Sorry, I know you will hate to hear this, but listen to a hard smoker.... In the end you will be sorry.

You can try, but you won't succeed. No matter how many air fresheners, fans, candles or whatever you use, it will still permeate and adhere to every item in the room, as well as to your clothing and your skin.

Febreeze is supposed to cover smells and it works well on stinky shoes too!
