well first..inside the () the square root of 9 is 3..so you add that to the square root of 2 and get 3 root 2 then you multiply the square root of 2 * 3 root 2..which when multiplying square roots you just add whats inside the square whcih in this case is 2+2...so you have the 3 root 4..and the square root of 4 is 2..so now you have 3(2) which equals 6

Square root of 2=1.414213562. Square root of 9 is 3. 1.414213562 + 3= 5.414213562 or 5.41

you need sqrt 2(sqrt(2) + 3)

let it be a + b sqrt(2)
square it
a^2+ 2b^2 + 2ab sqrt(2) = 2 sqrt(2) + 6
equate rational and irrational parts

a^2+2b^2 = 6
ab = 3

now you can solve for a and b

sqrt2(sqrt2 + 3)
distributing..
sqrt 2 becomes 2 and you multiply 3 by sqrt2
so the ans. will be
2+3sqrt2
