I did a couple of loads of laundry only using Clorox 2? Is that enough to disinfect?

Chlorine bleach is the most disinfecting. But the truth is that most germs like to be either wet or dry. You kill a lot of germs just by washing the clothes -- and then even more of them die in the drying cycle. People are very unlikely to get sick from germs on clothes that have been washed.

I don't believe Clorox 2 (or any color-safe "bleach" for that matter) is a disinfectant; but I could be wrong. I think it's a color brightener.

But even if it is, it wouldn't clean the clothes because there are no grease cutters or surfectants in it. Perspiration and other nasty stuff would just be going for a ride in the washer, and then would get set in to the fabric in the dryer.
