The television has been around ages now and it has served the consumer well in that time. But it just doesn't have the interactive features that the computer has such as the internet. But although the television is much more stable technology than the computer but in time I think the computer will evolve into a more user friendly machine. So out of the computer and the tv I'd say the computer wins due to variety of things you can do with it that you cannot with a television.

Computer !! Because you can install TV tuner card in your computer motherboard and watch tv same time while doing something in front of your computer.
