graphics card?

what is a good cheap priced "graphic" card. i can buy for my compaq sr1710nx desktop computer

Get a GeForce 7300GT for around $50, or possibly a 7600GT for around $80. Those are inexpensive yet perform well- a big improvement over your integrated graphics. The next tier of cards run about $110 which is a different price range.

Certainly there are better cards in the $150-$200 range but those aren't cheap, and might require a power supply upgrade.

Don't buy anything less than a 7300GT, the performance drops off faster than the price. The 7300LE might save you $10 but would perform so badly you'd consider it a waste of money.
