After watching Lackey lose to both Boston and the Yankees his last two starts, tonight's complete game using only 109 pitches is just what the Angels need at this point in the season. He did the same thing vs the Mariners the last time he faced them. 9IP, 7H, 0ER.

Quite impressive. How about the 16-0 Tigers win over the not so hot Yankees? Impressive?

Actually the M's havent been so hot lately, they dropped the last 2 games vs Texas, couldn't hit with RISP and went 4-3 on the roadtrip.
Their inability to hit in the clutch lately combined with the fact that Lackey has owned the M's, I'm not that impressed. It still blows though.
At least the Yankees got killed by the Tigers.

Impressive yes, but not totally unexpected, were talking about being up against the M's here, that's like having to hold your own in a street fight against Steve Urkel! The Mariners are hopeless, we pay top dollar for the most worthless new talent, and then our papers write sports page after sports page wondering why they suck so badly and when are we going to start getting our money's worth out of them. Plus we haven't found a valid replacement for Lou Pinella, who actually cared enough to act pissed off whenever we lost and was concerned enough to rag on the team and bawl them out when they performed poorly.

Most Impressive.
It was one of those games where the whole team had a part in the win. Pitching was solid, fielding was solid, and a good number of runs to set it in stone.
The next two games in the series are going to be awesome. The only thing that would make it even more interesting would be if they started the two Weaver brothers in the same game against each other.

Just Lackey being Lackey. He had a hitter like Ichiro Suzuki totally fooled. Several times. And when he did make a mistake, it seemed like the next batter hit into a double play.
And Garret Anderson has picked a good time to get hot.

Yup, impressive, they were playing on all cylinders last night. Hopefully they can keep the momemtum up. I think there's enough in the bullpen so if Santana gets into trouble early tonight, we can get quality pitchers on the mound.

Angels are on fire. I am so impressed with the Team Chemistry.
If this team keeps it up, they will end up in the World Series.
I love their pitching and speed and of course coaching!
