Now, you know the rest of the story and, have the answers so, what's the point and, what's the question.
Toodeemo: I completely disagree with you, completely. Who and what country were we suppose to attack, Iraq held the seat of the Islamic movement against the U.S. at the time, or do you need a lesson of interest, his name is Ben laudin or have you forgotten the three thousand boys and girls that have been fighting the extremists and, died.
Who have they been going out on patrols after, where are these patrols. Are you saying they didn't start making roadside bombs until after we were there, to ward us off, the people?
Get your facts together Pal before you come on here and start crying "foul ball" or who's side are you on?
We bravely went after the extremists without help from only a few, we expected help and aide, from others but, like France and Germany, they turned their backs on us, to be remembered in the future.
We expected other countries like the Philippines to take care of their own extremist problems with out aide, this failed. The problem is to big and we have to fight it ourselves, a never ending battle. What would you have us do, sit on our hands and let the extremists take over?

So, you advocate invading countries that house Islamic extermeists? Do you have any idea how many countries that is? Let's start with the US. WE have them here. Not government sanctioned. Sort of like Pakistan or so they would like you to believe. Islamic extremeists are not a country. Nor are they a single minded religion. They represent an idealogy that you will NEVER kill. So, our presence or lack thereof in Iraq never did nor will it ever in the future have a real effect on terrorism.
Your twin tower example is way off the mark. Iraq did not attack us. Neither did the fundamentalists who lived in Iraq when it happened. Our presents DREW factions of the cells that attacked to Iraq. Justifiying our presents in Iraq by utilizing 911 is sort of like defining a word by using that word in a sentence. The only connection between those terrorist groups in Iraq today and Al Quida was caused by US.
Yes, the United States DID instigate the confilct in Iraq. No one in their right mind can deny that. We attacked the wrong enemy. And made our real enemy stronger world wide in the process. Nobody is against the war on terror. But only a fool would be in favor of a war on terror that does not adequately deal with the real enemy.

Terrorism will always be a part of human society because it is so effective. Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. It was Al Quida and the US "ally" Saudi Arabia but the only way to stop the current wave of Islamic extremism is to take their Jihad to them and completely wipe them from existance.
I do think we need to stay in Iraq untill the job is done. Then we can hit the next target Iran.

Many people conveniently forget that Osama attacked the twin towers and got away with murdering 3000 citizens not Saddam who he hated and the America government did Bin Laden a favor and got rid of him and in the process set up a prime recruitment centre for his followers.
He must think we are even bigger fools than he did before.

From 1990 to 2000, American sanctions on Iraq killed 500000 innocent children. acording to Madaline Albright these deaths were "a price worth paying".These sanction were there to apparantly deprive Saddam, a millionaire of medicine and food, how i dont know. So 9/11 happened before america invaded Iraq, Afghanistan argument holds no weight, coz for 50 years america has been raping, killing, opressing, the muslim world, but also most of the world excluding Europe.

No, it will only increase and get even worse. This is a matter of anti Western anti Christian ideology out of control. It means to impose itself on the entire planet and destroy all who oppose it. Our country and our cause will be enormously damaged if we pull out and let our enemies triumph in this important oil rich region of the world. They will grow stonger and we will grow weaker.

No, if we pull out, terrorism will not evaporate like a bad dream. In fact, as I have said before.... we all need to remember high school. Two kids fight... but someone breaks it up. After school, the bully follows the other kid home and kicks his butt on his own front lawn..... c'mon people.... pull out? Are you kidding me. Should we pretend to limp too????
