IF printer has network card, install according to it's supplied instructions.

If not, install it on a PC, and click START / HELP and search for SHARE PRINTER

Does the printer have a NIC card built in? If it does just hook it to the LAN and assign an IP address to it that you get from the network administrator. If no NIC then you can attach the printer to one of your servers and make it shared. If this is not available then you can put it on a desktop and again make it a shared printer. All of these solutions require you install the print drivers on each of the users PC's and assign the network printer for them on their desktop.

Well a real network printer has to be programmed. You set the ip address, name, set the protocol, etc. What I think you are asking is how to share a printer over a home network. Which is done by enabling printer sharing.
