what do u think about the michael vick situation vs mary winkler who shot and killed her hubby and drove away?

mary winkler was allowed to work while she awaited sentencing for shooting her husband while he slept. she then drove to another state with their children. it seems that the world seems to care more about the death of animals than the death of a man. maybe its because michael vick is a well known, well paid, black athlete in america.

Michael Vick is going to do way more time than Mary Winkler simply because he is a rich black man. Only in America can a white woman kill her husband in cold blood, be free to work out on bail after ADMITTING to this crime, and then be released after only 67 days in prison. Meanwhile Michael Vick is probably going to get the toughest sentence the judge can hand out and people are ready to crucify him all over some stupid dogs.

These were two completely different situations, your probably to young to remember "the burning bed" law. The lady, was tortured for years both mentally and physically by her husband. One day she slipped, she poured gasoline over him and lit a match, her reason, she was scared to death of him and this was the only way to get rid of him. The cops wouldn't and, didn't help her, the laws and courts wouldn't help her, the jury agreed with her, he deserved it, and they freed her.

Mary winkler went through the same experience, he even told her no one would believe her, giving her the reason to help herself, telling her she was all alone.

Vick is a jerk to the lowest extent, lower then whale crap. He executed dogs by the meanest methods, you can't put the two together.
Sportsman have been getting away with things like this for years, sending messages to the younger generation that if your great in some sport and, make good money or have a position in the news like Hilton or Lohan, you can do what you want and get away.

It's time the public stand up and rate them as the same as porn, stop them no matter what they make or who they are, they have to obey the laws as we do.

I think that Michael Vic's dogs should be roasted or barbecued and they should hold a big party. By the way, what is wrong with what Michael Vick did? It seems extremely hypocritical to charge him but let everyone in our food industry go free.

His dogs were treated no worse than the gazillion animals in America that are grown for food. What's the difference? And don't tell me that the difference is that his actions were illegal while the actions of the food industry are legal. We all know that. The question is an ethical one, not a legal one.
