False positives are extremely rare. If you've gotten 2 positives, chances are excellent that you really are pregnant. The only reason why you would get a false positive is if you were taking hormone medications that contained hCG or if you had certain female cancers (rare cancers...so don't freak out).

I'm sure everything will go perfect at the doctor tomorrow.

Good luck and congrats.

Pregnancy tests can be both false positive and false negative (say you are not pregnant when you are.)
The positive reaction might be due to hormones in your body that are normally the result of pregnancy but in your case are elevated for some other reason.

false positives are very rare and mostly caused by defective test. where both the test from the same kit (like a pack of 2 or 3) if so go and buy a different brand or different test and you should have a better answer of whether it was a defect or really positive. good luck

My best recommendation. You should be on close physician watch if you already had two pregnancy that ended without intention. Find a good physician. If you really want to be pregnant, you should get one that is in total sync of what is going on with you and your past history of pregnancy. Since, both tests came out positive, get to OB right away.

they can give false neg results if your urine is to watered down from to much to drink, from testing to early , or not enough hormones in your body and rarely but some women don't show up on urine tests at all they require blood tests and some Dr's will do blood anyway to check the levels to see approx. how far along a person is if there isn't a reason to do an ultrasound yet (if they don't have insurance yet a blood test is a lot cheaper)

The chances of false positive and false negative are avaiable with the test. If you buy one at the store, those figures are in the tiny print of the instructions. If you get the test at from your doctor, s/he will have those figures available. If the doctor sends you to a lab, the lab will have those figures.

Good luck!

If it's positive, then you are pregnant. They are 99.9% correct when a posiitve result is given. With my last pregnancy and my current one, symptoms started 2 weeks after getting a positive result.

Its not possible to have a false positive result. Sounds like you are pregnant.
