go to the fabric store and look at the 'by-the-yard' trims. there are all sorts of decorative elastics that you can add appliques, roses, ribbons, etc. to.

Well, they are knitted from yarn or have elastic with rubber inside to pull snug and both can be had at fabric and craft stores and departments, including Wal-Mart
