A few years ago I'd have said Gary Sheffield, but he finally seems to be breaking down a bit...I think I'd go for Ichiro over Vlad. They're both free swingers, Vlad is more dangerous, but Ichiro is more consistent. He may not be the fastest guy in MLB, but I love that jump he gets out of the box, it's like he's three steps down the line even as he's following through. I also think he's disciplined enough that he could choose to hit for power if he loses a step to age.
JD Who? :) He's come around a little, but overall pretty underwhelming. He's been good in the field, especially compared with Wily Mo, who could have used a laundry basket and still not come up with the ball.
Still, old Trot (*sniff*) could have put up these numbers at half the money, and he'd give a damn doing it, too, unlike the mysteriously robotic Mr. Drew. His interleague stats show he still hits the N.L. very well, but who would take on his contract? Sox are stuck with him, for now.

I think Ichiro is great but Griffey Jr. is a right fielder now and I think that makes him the best right fielder in the mlb. He might have had problems over the years as a center fielder but this year he has done a good job.

JD Drew all the way!!!
No, seriously, that guy needs to go! Vlad and Ichiro are both great players, but Vlad is more of a power guy who drives in runs, and Ichiro is a guy who sets up run scoring opportunities. However, they both play great defense. I think Ichiro has the edge though

Well Ichiro plays center field now
I would say Magglio Ordonez by far
Could be because I'm a Tigers fan but it could also be that he has the best numbers in baseball (yeah A-rod has the home runs but Magglio's batting average is like 40 points higher and he hits a ridiculous .413 with RISP. A-rod hits just .301 with RISP)
.413!?!?
By the way home runs are the most overrated stat in sports

Offensively, you have to go with Magglio Ordonez this season. He numbers are clearly leading all right fielders.
Defensively, I take Micheal Cuddyer. The guy has a cannon for an arm and leads the majors in assists by an outfielder.

Ichiro plays centerfield now and he is the best centerfielder in the game. Big Daddy Vladdy is the best right fielder.

Willy Mo Pena has to be the worst outfielder ever. He makes Jose Canseco look like a Gold Glover.
And Johnny Damon throws like a 11 year-old softball player with cebral palsy.
If we're considering utility players that play left, center and right field...that goes to Ryan Freel, hands down.

Ichiro plays center, so I guess by process of elimination, Vlad wins this one.

Magglio Ordonez of the Tigers. He leads both the AL and NL in batting average(.355), is 2nd (116) only to A-Rod in RBIs in the AL, and and is 6th in the AL in HRs (25). Hard to argue with those numbers. Plus he has a pretty impressive .995 fielding percentage. He is the all around package.
