do not admit u forgot anything and make sure that your partner is under the impression that you were under anniversary planning detail for weeks and weeks (even if all you can come up with is a day old doughnut with a candle on top. That will guilt him into getting you a better gift and maybe do some chores around the house. I know it's selfish, but so what. It's your party and you will do as you please.

Really?? You forgot your anniversary?? I thought only men did that!! Buy him something nice on ebay and print out the receipt (with the items picture and description) and put that in an envelope with Happy Anniversary on it. That worked for me one time when I forgot! I just explained to my wife that I saw the item (jewelry) on ebay and thought it was special BUT I had to wait until the auction ended to get it for her.Well,I was just running a little late,eh?
