I often wonder if we misuse the word "depressed". In all probability, a person can make you feel "sad" and happy at the same time, but not "depressed" and happy at the same time. Being depressed, connotes an emotional state which can turn into a serious mental illness. Being sad is a temporary emotional state. For example; you may be extremely happy that you have met "Mr. .Right" on the Internet, but sad of the fact that he lives thousands of miles from you.

I've only known one person in my life that had that kind of power over me. Once I realized this fact I took the power back!
