I always wondered. Which is shorter, Dwarfs or Midgets??

So yeah I always wondered whats the difference between the two.

Dwarf and midget are not the same thing. Also, one is not shorter than the other. It is a distinction of medical condition.

A midget is someone who is unusually short but in proportion and disease is not associated. Years ago I believe I read a definition of a midget as someone who is 4'7" and under.

Dwarfism is a medical condition where the person is not only short, but not in proportion. People with dwarfism can also have medical problems that midgets do not.

Height has nothing to do with what they are called.
A midget is any height, shorter than average and well formed.
On the other hand, the dwarf is a bit mis-shapen, usually, his torso is normal, but his legs are quite short.
Many people mistake very short dwarves for midgets, but that is a mistaken idea.
My first mother in law was a midget (as declared by her doctor), only 4'7, but looked very nice.

there are over 100 types of dwarfism. the smallest being primordial dwarfism. they usually reach a height of only 3 ft. midgets are actually another type of dwarf though i forget the exact name.

i think dwarfs are shorter because it is a mythical beings and therefore it is shorter then midget which is the small people.

dwarks and midgets are the same thing - although people with the birth defect prefer dwarf.
