Why the Empire state building?

I noticed a perfume ad that shows the Empire state building reflected onto the bottles.My question is, why the Empire State building?What does it symbolise and what is the message the ad company is trying to bring out to us?

It's recognizable, it is an Icon of American economic resolve and strength- it was built during the recovery from the Great Depression, it's recognizable, etc.
