my heater on my 10 gallon fish only with live rock tank isnt working. the temp wentdown to like 73-74 degrees. what should i do?

i want be able to put in a new heater until tommoro late afternoon

i have a very small 25 watt heater should i put it in and leave the light on until i get a heater?

It should be fine until then. Protect the tank from any really cool drafts, such as an air conditioner vent even if this means covering it with a blanket. Water holds heat quite well and temperature losses will slow the closer it gets to your room temperature, so you shouldn't have too much at all to worry about.

I had a 10 gallon tank and never used a heater. I'd say they will be fine.

I would wrap the tank in towels, to make sure the temperature doesn't fluctuate, which is harmful to the fish.
Also, remember to SLOWLY heat up the tank when you put the new heater in. If you heat it too quickly, you could kill fish.

They will be ok as long as the filter for air is working.

My house caught fire and we had no power for a week. During winter water got very cold and with no filter working we only lost 3 fish. They will be fine

Leave the light on, it should keep it warmer until you get the heater.

Nothing to worry about. They will be fine. Leave the hood light on.
