I have the most amazing boyfriend ever. We're in a long distance relationship but I just got back from visiting him. I'll probably be going up there again at the start of December to visit him again. I'm moving up there in February next year.
Anyway, it'll be our 3year anniversary next year and I want to buy him something really special that's really meaningful.
I'm 17 and he's nearly 19.
Has anyone got any suggestions?

Spuded- Don't get me started on the movies haha we've already had plenty of 'make out sessions' there.
Lisa- I understand what you mean, I don't want to buy him a new car or a ring or something like that by I want to make it really meaningful that he will have forever.
Thanks guys!

Dad- Haha well I mean that I can't put a price on our relationship and that I would give up everything for him. Thanks Dad I see we are both Top Contributors now.
Historyman- I don't have those doubts at all anymore. He's so amazing and the weekend was so really really good.
Poppy- Thank you. That's a good idea.

I agree with "nonjourno" if you're a writer and some of the others with doing a romantic dinner and what not.
Another thing you can add to all of that is maybe doing it in a hotel room with a Jacuzzi tub and getting some lingerie. all to surprise him. It'll surprise him and be something he'll definitely never forget if its memorable.
BTW I'd save the big gifts for later like maybe after the ring.
I knew a girl who's father had died and left her and her brother a lot of money. Needless to say she had a relationship w/ a guy she bought a car for. She was totally in love him and they were both 18. Anyhow he broke up with her like 6 mths later to date around and he kept the car. If you have spend lots of money buy him a nice watch and have it in graved, w/ something special. Good Luck!

Hi Wabby, Congrats on your relationship I am happy for you.
For a 3 year anniversary why not get him some kind of mans pendant with I Love You engraved on the back. This is very meaningful and I think he would really like something like this. Something he can wear around his neck close to his Heart.
Lol
A Friend.

Wabby,I can't in good conscience suggest a gift for your pending anniversary. You have had several questions regarding this relationship to that I am not sure if you are celebrating the time you have known each other or if you truly care for each other.I'm not sure if you are in love or in love with the idea of being in love.My only suggestion is to listen to everyone'sgift ideas but don't buy anything until closer to the date.I'm sorry if my answer is a downer but I can only answer you with the truth ( at least the truth as I see it).Take care.

After some of your recent posts on this particular relationship, I take it there has been a positive result from the visit.
I offer you my congratulations and have a suggestion for you to think about.
(price doesn't matter)
Do you want to show off.
Buy him something practical that he will use frequently, or be proud to display.
I still have a men's hairbrush that a penfriend sent to me in the late 60's and I still think of her when I use it.
That may not work in your case Wabby but it did for me.

we don't supply one yet another anniversary provides, however the suitable modern-day he have been given me that I a million) did not %. out for myself, and a couple of) extremely mandatory became right into a MacBook professional a pair Christmases in the past. The worst... i won't be able to think of of something; I frequently %. out my own presents, so I in no way get something i don't choose. He have been given Beatles Rock Band for my b-day this year, yet I advised him to get it, and we ought to have offered it even if if it wasn't my b-day. we are extremely casual approximately presents.

Wabby why don't you give him something really personal? You are a pretty good wordsmith, yeah? Write something from your heart, something you really want to convey, get it done up in fancy printing, stick it in a leather bound frame or something and give it to him. Maybe then each anniversary you could add to the writings or add something together ... whatever. I believe that if you give something of yourself it is worth all the cordless drills in China (and I am addicted to tools). Plus it's something that no-one else could give him.

hey!! glad to hear bout the 3 yr, glad its strong. make a really cute scrapbook of pictures, memories, tickets to concerts or sporting events, throw them all into a scrapbook and give it to him. you could take him out to dinner and to see a fav concert/sports team. stay in and give him "coupons" to open at certain times. this coupon is redeemable for a back massage from Wabby. This coupon is redeemable for a hot makeout session. put them into really goofy or mushy cards and give them to him at random times. lets say right in the middle of a movie. or if his team got a point or he just got back from the bathroom at the resturant. what else... whats he into, get him something related to that. if hes into sports get him a shirt and 2 tickets with good seats or a concert or a romantic date. have fun and be creative. good luck :)

Here she goes again with " Price doesn't matter." I love that word, Wabby. :)
Anyway, how about you buy him a GPS system for his car, one that also plays DVD movies? They're very handy and cool.
Hey, you are back! We miss you.

a watch, aftershave, a car, tickets to fave band, tickets to see a show, or even put together a book of your memories. most of the time that means more than just going to a shop n buying something xxx
