I bought a used Grand Am a couple days ago, I recently noticed that whenever I turned the car on, there would be like a rattling noise under the hood towards the top right that would last maybe two seconds. I took it back to the car lot I bought it from today and he said it was just the compressor from the AC turning on, but it still makes that noise even when I have my AC off. So, does this seem realistic to you?

A/C compressors don't rattle. Valve trains do when they don't have enough oil pressure, like your car would at start up before oil pressure gets established. Take that car back if it's not too late. You're going to have major valve and/or compression problems soon.

Be Good, regularly. ...Common-experience... It's a infrequent commodity... *The five bodily senses: Seeing, listening to, tasting, smelling, and touching. Believe it or now not, all 5 of the bodily senses will permit a individual to suppose. All five of the bodily senses would possibly engage inside the framework of human realization. *The seven states of human realization: a million. Unarvu - feeling two. Unarchi - attention three. Puthi - Intellect four. Madhi - Judgment five. Arivu - Subtle Wisdom 6. Pahuth Arivu - Divine Wisdom 7. Perr Arivu - Divine Luminous Wisdom All people would possibly probably have entry to the, 5 bodily senses. All people do have entry to the, "Seven States of Consciousness". A individual need to attempt diligently to entry all "Seven States of Consciousness", for that is the real start-correct bestowed upon each individual. Hopefully that makes a few 'experience'... Peace be regularly with you. Meechum Anbu (Much Love) in sha'Allah al-hamdu lillah Salaams,

compressors are not supposed to rattle like that ,the story the car lot gave you was a little off, take it back to a mechanic and have it checked, they especially don't rattle only when you make a turn with it,something isn't right with it,have it re-checked,think you,ll find a bad mount or a cv joint going bad ,but have it checked to be sure, good luck on it.

When you had your mechanic inspect it before the purchase, did he give it a clean bill of health then?

Have him take another look, perhaps he missed something. No, compressors don't rattle.

It's suppose to do that to circulate the oil in the A/C system briefly to keep the seals from drying out.

It's normal.
