The 1980 Orioles are at least one of them, they won 100 games in the old AL east behind the Yankees who won 103 games.
Ironically even though the Orioles won the world series 3 years later with good core of the same players, 100 wins was and is still their highest mark to date for most wins in a single regular season.

There's a few others. It's pretty rare (and essentially impossible) since the advent of the wildcard though.
