Why are black people using the Michael Vick dog fighting case to call White people racists?

I don't really know why so many people care about Michael Vick's legal troubles.
I don't think that it's because White Americans are jealous/racist, & want to bring down a rich & famous black athlete. Because I remember the Kobe Bryant rape case, (it didn't go to trial) he was accussed of raping a 20 year old White girl. If White people & the media are so racist against black people, then why don't more Whites hate Kobe Bryant? It's becuase he probably didn't do it that's why. Also I remember the Duke Lacrosse fake rape case, when everyone tryed to put 3 innocent White men in prison for a gang-rape that never happened.

I dont recall calling any white person racist because of Michael Vick. Do I think the NFL and anti dog fighting groups want to make an example of him to stop two growing epidemics, player arrests and dog fighting? Yes, but it has nothing to do with race. Besides, I cant feel sorry for someone who had a golden opportunity to make something of himself and blew it doing something so stupid and inhumane. So, please stop speaking for black people.

Only ignorant people are turning it into race. Its just really annoying because preseason is almost over, yet people are so focused on a mediocre player.

We should be discussing the following since the season has started:

1) Why the tuck rule is stupid
2) Why spearing should no longer be a rule because it's rarely called
3) How patriots fans are arrogant
4) Indy Colts think they have the right to brag because they have one SB under their belt

Last but not least.. how great the BEARS are going to do this season!

EDIT: Dixie you need to change "they" to most. Most of the time when I go out, I'm the only Creole person in the room and it always takes someone else to point it out because I don't notice it. I never pull the race card. It's unnecessary.

i'm black and i don't really care about the case. Why is it a race thing??? He killed innocent dogs and he should go to prison. What does calling white people racist have to do with it. (some people just do not make any sense these days, don't you agree?)

Not all black people do. Some of them are good, decent, and just.

But many are not. And I suppose for them, any excuse for hollering racism will do. Some black people will holler racism if a coca cola machine keeps their money.

for what it's worth, I haven't heard anyone saying he is being charged for racist reasons, but then I rarely watch television these days.

What black people made this a race issue? I haven't heard any black people play the race card. Vick screwed up, and deserves his punishment. His skin color has nothing to do with anything. So basically, the only people making this a race issue, are whites complaining that blacks are making this a race issue.

because they play the race card over and over again even when a black persons guilt is a fact!!! believe me if he were not guilty he would be fighting this in court not copping a plea.people need to stop being ignorant and face the facts.just because he is a black football player does not make him GOD!! and people have every right to be upset about this!!! it is awful and it is illegal,quit making excuses for criminal behavior!!!!people who are this stupid do not deserve money,fame or all the trappings of celebrity not at all.if you don't like that too bad,most people do not like the truth but that doesn't change the facts!!!!
