I think it is an addiction. He is desensitized to the brutality and now it is cool to him. Many people also like to watch this stuff for the same reason they like to watch boxing or Ultimate Fighting. No it's not Okay though.

If anybody thinks he was doing it for any reason other than the money......well I have a great bridge for sale in Long Beach.
Most rich people want to get richer, and upon retiring this might have become his full time gig. He was an investor in a kennel for Christ sake. He admits to killing dogs. He fronted the money.....but didn't get anything in return? (B U L L S H>>!)
Like Ludacris said, "In this life one thing counts, in the bank large amounts!"
If I walk into your yard and stab, beat, or hang your dog to death what would you think of me? ... and Im poor! Yea raising dogs is a hobby, raising them to die is some totally different other world psycho crap. Why dont we raise our own kids this way fight them and leave animals alone.

It wasn't for the money, it was more of a hobby. Some rich people breed racehorses, some play polo, some hunt foxes, some float around on yaughts. Heck, in Spain they kill bulls for sport.
Sadly, Vick's particular hobby happened to be illegal and carry a lifetime ban from the NFL.

Your post should give you the answer. He did it because he is a sick, twisted, sadistic individual with a severe character flaw.
It has nothing to do with being 'immature' as he says. I knew as a small child that it wasn't right to be cruel and abusive to animals.

Because he is tremendously stupid. That's the only explanation I can offer for someone having so much and foolishly throwing it all away. He brought his problems on himself, but it's still very sad.

It is popular in black culture in the inner cities and rural south. That is a flaw in their culture that needs to be changed.
