What is the best air filter upgrade for the 2007 Z06 Corvette?

to wait until the warranty is out and then get one of those reuseable wash ones from Fram.
This car is one of the most high performance engineered cars on the planet, don't mess it up with a K&N. It will not increase the value. Or performance. Just the headaches.

Your standard filter is a low restriction unit. It's better than 10 truck loads of anything Fram ever thought of. I woulden't mess with an obvious change while the car is under the 100,000 mile drive train warranty. Chevrolet will squirm like he*l if any were happen to see that on your motor.
Keep your ear tuned to any air cleaner up-grades that GM provides. Personally if I owned the car I'd stick in a K&N unit and be ready to snatch it out when it goes in for regular service. Don't let your dealer see it in there.
I got a sermon from the oldest guy at our Chevrolet parts counter. He said: Don't bring your car in for service with anything but an AC-Delco air cleaner. They'll drop your warranty quicker than "you know what. "

you might be able to squeeze a few more horses out of it if you went with a high flow air intake instead of replacing the filter. Better air flow = better performance and lower gas mileage. DO NOT just wait until the warranty is up on your current one. Your factory filter likely has a paper element; not the best material to have between the dirty air and the inside of your high performance engine. Upgrade today.
I disagree that K&N's are problematic. They're great air filters and they're rechargeable.

motor trend advertises the K&N air intake for the 2007 Z06 that provides a guaranteed 27 hp increase, for a total of 532 hp
